Hi Bristol + North Somerset.
I’m Vanessa. The woman behind heal. My pronouns are she / her. heal. is an inclusive place, and all are welcome.
I understand life in the fast lane. 15+ years of working in high-end TV in London made sure of that. My own journey of prolonged stress and burnout, contributed to my change in direction and made me look more closely at the relationship between my mind and body.
I’m currently studying for a three-year, degree-level Licentiate in Traditional Acupuncture and will begin practising in 2027, ahead of fully qualifying in 2028. This work both complements and shapes my bodywork practice. I am therefore influenced by holistic approaches that explore how unresolved emotions and difficult experiences impact the body. But also how just everyday life can show up physically.
I’m an advocate for the benefits of yoga, having trained in India nearly 20 years ago. So, if appropriate, you may find a few yoga asanas given as homework to assist stretching!
I want to make bodywork and massage accessible, by offering treatments in your home. Having worked at St Peter’s hospice in Bristol, and as a trained end of life doula, I’m particularly passionate about supporting people living with life limiting illnesses, helping them access the comfort and benefits that massage and bodywork can offer.
